1986 - Time travel Mothers' Manifesto

"Sometimes I can't take it anymore. In my fantasies, I'm often not far removed from a maternal guerrilla and can well understand such cravings from angry and annoyed women. There are simply too many obstacles put in the way of mothers every day. Obstacles that are a clear sign that children are not considered or planned for in this society. This has serious consequences for those who live with children in this country. Entire areas of so-called public life are not open to them... it's about the effects that a childless society has on people who live with children."
This is what Ferdinand Oeter wrote in his review of the book "Mothers to Power" in the Deutsches Ärzteblatt on February 22, 1990.
The book was published in 1989 by Dorothee Pass-Weingartz and Gisela Erler - two women who were also involved in the Mothers' Manifesto of 1986.
In March, journalist Eva Schindele spoke to Gisela Erler in her podcast "alt und unverzagt" about the Mothers' Manifesto and the situation of mothers at the time. What has changed and what is still true? Listen in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCZx5l_FVF0
