Women pay the price - We continue to fight!

Today, on February 7, 2025was the start of the campaign "Women pay the price" of the German Association of Midwives (DHV) in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin. A strong, courageous action that draws attention to the blatant shortcomings in obstetrics and emphatically shows that political changes are long overdue.
In Germany, around a third of women experience birth trauma - often due to assaults without consent and inadequate care during childbirth. The DHV's demands could help these women: 1:1 care by midwives as standard and a comprehensive care network close to home are crucialto improve the health care of women around the time of birth.

We from 100,000 mothers support this campaign wholeheartedly. The physical and mental health of mothers must finally become the focus of policy. This is precisely why we not only stand by midwives today, but also continue to fight for better conditions and genuine equality.

Our work does not stop after the general election. The May 10, 2025 will be a decisive day - together with you, we will draw attention to these grievances and send out an unmistakable signal: For humane obstetrics and a better future for all mothers and children.
