On the other hand, mothers* experience various forms of devaluation, disadvantage and discrimination. A society that keeps mothers* trapped in this field of tension, does not consider them in political discourse and even ignores them, and systematically curtails their socio-political participation, is an expression of a poor society that is weakening itself. It is way past time to recognize this - and to change it.
