Mothers are the foundation of our society. They do most of the care work, keep families together and secure the future of our children. But their work often remains invisible - unnoticed, underpaid, underestimated.<\/p>\n

How the \"100,000 Mothers\" campaign came about<\/strong><\/h4>\n

On the AKF symposium 2023<\/strong> came around 100 experts from medicine, science, politics and activism<\/strong> together. Among them were Jutta Allmendinger and Mareice Kaiser, who both showed how deeply structural disadvantage affects the lives of mothers:<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udccc Mothers do 4.5 hours of unpaid housework a day, fathers only 1.5 hours.<\/strong>
\ud83d\udccc Care work leads to an enormous loss of lifetime income for mothers.<\/strong>
\ud83d\udccc The psychological strain of this invisible work is high.<\/strong>
\ud83d\udccc A lack of social recognition exacerbates the problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These figures are well known. The facts are on the table - but mothers remain invisible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the conference to the movement<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The idea for the campaign \"100,000 mothers\"<\/strong> arose from this moment of realization:<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd25 Why do farmers drive tractors in front of the Brandenburg Gate - but not mothers?<\/strong>
\ud83d\udd25 Why does family care work remain a private matter, even though it is the basis of our society?<\/strong>
\ud83d\udd25 Why is it systematically made more difficult for mothers to exercise their right to political participation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are fed up with our work being taken for granted, while men who do housework are applauded for it. We are tired of motherhood being either romanticized or devalued - but never recognized for what it is: a social task that must be solved politically.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The utopia is clear: A society in which mothers are not perceived as a silent resource, but as a political force.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is why we are going to May 10, 2025<\/strong> on the road - 100,000 mothers for a just future.<\/strong><\/p>\n
